I also have FAILED STATES by Noam Chomsky.

very good book. the 1/4 i have read so far.

i hate ADD

I have found that keeping a book in the bathroom works.

Even if you only read a few pages, you can get a book done.

i shall have to try that. i have no focus. drives me crazy. gets worse as i get older.

I generally am too wired to read till about an hour before bed.

It's actually a great way to wind down to sleep....I mean if you aren't getting laid.

no worries there <_<

The other thing I do is read during TV/Movie commercial breaks.
The mute button on the remote gets a good workout.

Instead of hearing Free Credit Report dot com songs over & over
or whatever unnecessary drugs are being hawked, you can read a page or 2.

By the end of the night, you can get a chapter done and you have
accomplished something you want to do, not been a slave to whatever
some marketing hack wants to shove into your brain.

If there are no commercials then you have to find other time.

I actually get lots done during commercials, laundry: letting dogs in/out, etc.

Sometimes I get disappointed in HBO and the like because there are no breaks

Not hate it, I just find it unnecessary. If I am so busy not to watch several things,
then I am too busy to watch them later too.

Which is probably a good thing. Now that many shows repeat themselves,
you can catch up on them or Hulu, and the like, helps.
