I was told that toilet paper is one of the most complex engineered items in the world. As a chemical engineer whose current project revolves around films processing, i believe that. I would not be able to design a set of rollers that would spin and perforate the paper, and yet not crumple and tear it, at those speeds right off the bat. This makes semicondictors and photonics based computing seem like piece of cake.
